Rush ‘fifty something’ tour now spans 58 shows across 24 cities in canada, usa and mexico in 2026! The tour, in celebration of rush’s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist neil peart, has new dates in cities including philadelphia, boston, montreal, washington d.c., atlanta, edmonton, seattle, vancouver, and more (full dates below). Rush was formed in august 1968 in the willowdale neighborhood of toronto
The original lineup included alex lifeson on guitar, jeff jones on bass and john rutsey on drums. Cleveland dj donna halper at wmms was instrumental in making “ working man ” a cult hit and helped bring the band to the attention of mercury records. Rush released its eponymous debut album in march 1974
Rather than sign with an existing label, rush created their own, moon records, and pressed a few thousand copies
